It is no surprise that Doug Kemmerer founded Road Less Traveled Publishing. At a young age Doug followed his entrepreneurial spirit along with a strong work ethic that was inbred in him by his father. His career started in the service industry where he learned the importance of serving others. By the time Doug was in his early twenties Doug started a business in the hospitality and entertainment industry. This allowed Doug to thrive in an industry that not only worked closely with many household names, but also started Doug thinking about the great experiences and stories that motivated him to start writing his own life story. This experience was the catalyst of a realization that helping others tell their stories is much more rewarding than simply sharing his own story.
While contemplating sharing and publishing the experiences of others and his own life, it was almost an unbelievable coincidence but, a gentleman came into Doug’s life, and unknown to both of them, he had crossed paths with Doug’s father. His father had recently passed away, and it fascinated him and he wanted to learn not just about how their paths had crossed but also to understand the essence of his father’s heart.
These experiences prompted the birth of Road Less Traveled Publishing. The goal is to share fascinating nonfictional stories and out of the box experiences of those who deserve to have their stories shared.

It’s due out this year.
Adventure on a Dare, which tells the tale of his Cuban adventure, was published in 2011. But it just whetted people’s appetites. They wanted to know the rest of the story.
